December - Yule

Honey, whose passion and ferility-enhancing properties have long been touted, may owe that reputation to the hexagons of the honeycomb, six being the sacred sexual number of Aphrodite.

Nuts are great for communicating; if you are having trouble talking with a friend, lover, or colleague, charge a nut mix and pass it on as a hormony offering.

Place mistletoe above an interior doorway as a Yule adornment; leave as an homage to peace and goodwill until next Yule (for those of you who have animals and/or small children, be warned that mistletoe is very harmful if eaten and can be deadly).

Scatter black cohosh leaves in the corner of a room to evict a negative energy force.

Often worn as an amulet and placed in cradles, mistletoe was thought to prevent babies from being kidnapped by fairies.

Spearmint strenghtens mental powers and grants protection during sleep.

Yarrow grants courage and protection.
