Botanical Abbreviations

c/s - Cut and Sifted.

f/c - Fine Cut - generally used in tea bags, too small for an infuser.

pwd - Powder - finely ground, for encapsulation.

whl - Whole - unbroken seeds and berries, larger botanical pieces.

granules - Course Ground.

tears - Cut and sifted pieces of gum resin botanicals.

Botanical Warnings & Saftey Guidelines

(a) - NOT for internal use, unless otherwise directed by an expert qualified in the appropriate use of this substance. DO NOT apply to broken or abraded skin.

(b) - NOT to be used during pregnancy.

(c) - NOT to be used while nursing.

(d) - Additional use restrictions. Consult a trained practitioner in appropriate use of this botanical.

(e) - Use only under the supervision of an expert qualified in the appropriate use of this botanical.

(f) - DO NOT use if you have abdominal pain or diarrhea, and discontinue if these occur. Consult a health care provider prior to use if you are pregnant, nursing, taking medication or have a medical condition. DO NOT exceed recommended dose. NOT for long-term use.

(g) - May cause phototoxicity in some individuals at high dosaes. Avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight when using internally.

(h) - Unapproved food additive; not affirmed as "Generally recognized as safe" by the FDA. For use as a dietary supplement.

(i) - Seek advice from a health care practioner prior to use if you are pregnant, nursing, have high blood pressure, heart or thyroid disease, diabetes, difficulty in urination due to prostate enlargement, or if taking an MAO inhibitor or any other prescription drug. Reduce or discontinue use if nervousness, tremor, sleeplessness, loss of appetite or nausea occur. DO NOT exceed recommended dose. KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN.

(j) - US FDA advises that a potential risk of rare, but severe, liver injury may be associated with kava-containing dietary supplements. Ask a healthcare professional before use if you have or have had liver problems, frequently use alcoholic beverages, or are taking any medication. Stop use and see a doctor if you develop symptoms that may signal liver problems (e.g., unexplained fatigue, abdominal pain, loss of appetite, fever, vomiting, dark urine, pale stools, yellow eyes or skin). NOT for use by persons under 18 years of age, or by pregnant or breastfeeding women. NOT for use with alcoholic beverages. Excessive use or use with products that cause drowsiness may impair your ability to operate a vehicle or heavy equipment.

(k) - Seek advice from a health care practitioner before use if you have or may have had kidney or liver disease. Discontinue use if nausea, fever, fatigue or jaundice (dark urine, yellow discoloration of the eyes) should occur.

(l) - Bulk-forming laxatives are contraindicated in bowel obstruction and must be taken with adequate liquid to avoid paradoxical constipation and esophegeal or bowel obstruction. TAKE THIS PRODUCT WITH AT LEAST 8 OZ. OF FUID.
