Custom Made Handfasting Broom (Besom) - April 20, 2006 - Custom Made Broom Quote Form "Is there any way to inscribe their first names and their wedding date on the broom? I look forward to hearing from you. Thank you." D. Insco (Bride's Mother), Virginia Beach, VA.

April 23, 2006 "I received your request and just finished the quote. Well, I have had a wood burning tool for 3 years and I haven't taken it out of the package. However, I would be willing to take it out and do a lot of practicing on scrap wood to see if I can do that for you. I would like to ask for pictures of them jumping over the broom, if that's what they are going to do and a testimony." Lirica

April 24, 2006 - "The pictures and testimony aren't a problem, we can do that. We would like to pay you your required half of the fee in order to get started on the broom/besom." D. Insco (Bride's Mother), Virginia Beach, VA.

April 25, 2006 - "I can't wait to get started on the broom/besom. I love to create new brooms/besoms" Lirica

May 16, 2006 - "I wanted to let you know that I have been working on the broom and I just finished the inscription (before sealing wood). I have attached a picture of the inscription (after sealing wood) for you to see. I will be sealing the wood today and finishing the rest of the broom this week." Lirica

August 22, 2006 - "Dear Lirica, I apologize for not getting back to you sooner, however we just got our pictures. Both my husband and I, and my son in laws parents recieved their photos but my daughter still hasn't and it's been almost 3 months since the wedding, so it's a touchy subject with my daughter. These 2 wonderful photos of them jumping the broom is a memory I will always cherish, I hope you enjoy it too. My son in law is an atheist like my husband, Ben was raised as a catholic, my hubby was raised a methodist. Myself I was raised a lutheran. At a very young age 7 or 8 I had a profound interest in witchcraft, so I read whatever I could fiction or non-fiction until Drawing Down The Moon & Starhawk hit the presses. I preceaded onto Gardner, the Ferrars, etc..., and hence became a self-dedicated solitary pagan witch. With each daughter I had I taught them everything I knew that they could absorb as each year passed by. I also experienced belonging to a coven for a few short lived years (everyone moved), in which the coven members became like family to the girls and chuck & I. Both my girls, now young women are still practising pagan witches, they consider themselves hereditary witches because they were taught by mom and we also practise magic which stays only among us kept in 2 large BOS 3-ring binders. The threefold law and wiccan rede is not in our BOS, as we are not wiccan. For Brade to have her own special besom on her wedding day was not only magical it was just perfect. Brade & Ben were married by a justice of the peace, but he had done his homework. Apparently many others had jumped the broom as well because during the ceremony right before they jumped the broom he told the guests of it's meaning and lore. This was fabulous, everyone had an understanding of it's significance and meaning, especially for Brade, as Ben's family knows she is a witch. However we are "In the Closet" witches, we don't talk about it. We do wear pentagrams, just not all the time. So when someone see's are pentagrams and say's something on occasion, we smile, exchange a few happy words, and sometimes even hug, we are happy and content to be what we are, pagan witches. I feel somehow like I already know you. I can certainly say it has not only been a pleasure talking with you, but you will always be in our hearts because you handmade Brade's wedding besom. Please feel free to stay in touch. Bright Blessings & Goddess Bless," C. & D. Insco, B. & B. Carlson, Virginia Beach, VA.

August 22, 2006 - "Lirica, I hope you got the testimony. I couldn't get the pictures to send from the hotel here, so hubby will try and send them via e-mail at work tomorrow, ok." D. Insco, Virginia Beach, VA.

August 23, 2006 - "I just got the testimony this morning (08-23-06). Thank you so much for that. Sending the pictures today is fine. I hope Brade get her pictures soon. I would be upset too!!" Lirica
